2025 Student Success Practices: Two-Year Institution Deep Dive

Dr. Sherri Erkel joined the RNL consulting team in 2016, bringing 18 years of progressive and diverse experiences in enrollment and retention at both public and private institutions with large and small enrollments. At Eastern Oregon University (OR) and St. Ambrose University (IA), she directed recruitment and enrollment operations, new student transitions including orientation and welcome week, and first- and second-year experience programs.

Julie has been a steadfast advocate for student success since becoming Vice President of Student Success at St. Louis Community College in June 2021, where she oversees academic, career and transfer advising, access and student success, and new student programs. Her journey with STLCC began in 2004, and throughout her tenure, she has remained deeply committed to helping students realize their potential and achieve their goals. Her passion for enhancing the student experience has led her to implement innovative support strategies and lead initiatives that prioritize care, connection, and student-centered solutions.

Dr. Evanne Raible joined Christopher Newport University in November 2018 with oversight of the Transfer Center. In the Summer of 2022, she assumed additional responsibilities with oversight of the Center for Student Success and is currently serving as the Senior Director of Transfer and Student Success Services. Prior to rejoining Christopher Newport, she worked for over six years in the Office of Academic Support Services at William and Mary working directly with students and providing academic advising, peer tutoring services and student development programming.
