A Data-Driven Approach of Graduate Enrollment Success:
7 Key Findings from RNL's National Study
RNL's newest research report helps us understand what graduate schools and programs need to do to propel their programs forward in what may be a softening market.
Emerging trends will require successful graduate programs to be even more responsive to student expectations and enrollment priorities. RNL's new 2023 Graduate Student Recruitment Report surveyed more than 1,500 prospective and enrolled graduate students in order to document the things graduate programs need to know in order to be the program students choose.
With perspectives from program development, marketing, and enrollment planning experts, we review seven of the most important findings from the report:
  1. How has the graduate education growth trajectory changed recently?
  2. What format choices have become essential rather than optional?
  3. What factors and motivations are driving graduate students to enroll?
  4. How local, regional, or national is your market likely to be?
  5. How are graduate students starting and continuing their search?
  6. How much leeway do you have in your response times?
  7. How does cost factor into decision making?
